Messerschmitt ME 262
One of the first jet aircraft to fly the Messerschmitt ME 262 was designed as a fighter.
But Hitler thought otherwise. He decided it would be best as the role of a fighter-bomber.
So the aircraft that could have changed the tide of the war in Germany's favor was not put to use.
